Final Cut - 6/2/16

Our final cut for our A2 Music Video can be found below which was made on Sony Vegas Pro and demonstrates improvements from our rough cut that our target audience from the focus group suggested to make in order to create a better, more successful music video. These improvements are:

  • Typography - Changing the colour of the the titles at the start from black to white to make it more prominant and aesthetically pleasing.

  • Slow motion hair flick - Using slow motion is conventional for a pop video and highlights the female character as being someone who is lusted over, adding to the continuing narrative of the video.

  • Fast forward effect - Make the scene less boring as without fast forwarding it can be quite long and tedious, plus being quite a cool effect that matches with the fast paced-ness of a pop music video.

  • Jump cut - cutting into the female characters face right at the end of the video adds to the humour of the production and emphasises her expression enabling the audience to be able to see her wink and be cheeky - that she doesn't care that she has messed us all about.

Everything else within the music video is kept as what was done on the days of filming which included patience, hard work and efficient time management from all of us to help ensure we created a entertaining, upbeat, successful, conventional pop music video for our audiences. Enjoy!
