Initial Digipak - 22/12/16
Above is the feedback we received qualititative from our initial digipak draft where we predominantly asked them about the back cover of the digipak, as you will see many different drafts of said back cover at the start of the video. They said they didn't like the one with the lip mark over it as you cannot read the writing clear, and the one with the black box covered over it due to it not really blending in well with the whole digipak and it distorted the continuity of the ancillary texts as a whole. This will help us a lot when it comes to perfecting our final draft, moulding it towards our target audiences needs in order for it to be successul.
Final Digipak - 23/12/15
Below, is our final digipak for our music group 'Quad Goals' for the album and music video song 'Did You Miss Me' designed on Affinity Photo on a Macbook Pro. We have added things to comply with our target audience such as the lip print on the back cover to match with our magazine advert, the black border also on the back, and then lastly, going back to our feedback on our draft digipaks on the podcasts, we added a small summary of the band as Rachel mentioned in her podcast interview, the inside left of the digipak was quite bare. Therefore, we conjured up a nice backstory towards our boy group. As well as putting our individual logos on the disc to comply with our iconography (Dyer). We did also have to discard some suggestions due to them breaching normal pop genre conventions - so as media practitioners we carried on with matching to the original conventions we had. . Overall, we think our digipak is a success and definitely relates to that of coventional pop male artists digipaks and album covers.
